Our Training Aircraft

At Signal Aviation, our training fleet consists of late model Cessna 172 Skyhawks, the industry standard in training aircraft. Skyhawks make the perfect flight training classrooms. Outside, they're easy to fly, stable, sporty, and fun. Inside, they offer great visibility, comfortable interiors, state-of-the-art avionics, and a built-in intercom for easy communications. And they're the heart of our integrated flight training curriculum – the airplane you see on our Computer-Based Instruction (CBI) is set up just like the airplane you'll fly in your lesson.

Some student pilots opt to purchase their own airplane. Learning to fly in the airplane they'll fly later – and using state-of-the-art avionics from the start – is a good investment of training time. It works well because they plan to fly frequently enough that owning may be more affordable than renting over the long run. Plus, there is added flexibility in setting up a training schedule. It is a special thing to have an airplane you can call your own!
